History
Barnstable High School Girls Ice Hockey was formed in 2002 and began as a club team for the inaugural 2002-2003 season and finished with a winning record of 7-6-0. The 2003-2004 season brought Varsity status to the program and the team qualified for the state tournament in its first year of eligibility. The 2006-2007 team won the Division 2 State Championship with a stellar record of 22-1-2. It was the fifth season for the team and a fifth-straight winning record, culminating with a win in the State Championship Game at Harvard University in March 2007. The 2008-2009 season introduced a new JV team to the program for the first time as interest in girls hockey in Barnstable continues to grow. The 2009-2010 team fashioned a 10-4-5 record and set a team record for fewest goals allowed in a season. The team also made a seventh consecutive trip to the state tournament.
